The NIV Standard Lesson Commentary has been used in the past.  It provides a verse by verse explanation of the Bible text and detailed background for the lessons. The class is currently choosing books that are based on the Christian journey with Christ.  The Adult Sunday School Class moves through each lesson in a thoughtful, in depth manner, allowing time for reflection and prayerful discernment.
